1. How to delete your account

You can delete your MacerFitness account yourself, from inside the app or on the web. You do not need to contact us and we do not need to approve it.

On the web: sign in, open Settings, go to the Profile tab and scroll to Your data. Choose Delete my account, type DELETE to confirm, and it is scheduled.

On iPhone or Android: sign in, open the Settings tab and scroll to Your data. Choose Delete my account and confirm the same way.

If you cannot sign in, email contact@macerfitness.com from the address on your account and we will delete it for you. We respond within one month, as UK GDPR requires.

2. What happens next

Your account is scheduled for deletion and you are signed out everywhere. Any subscription you bought from us directly is cancelled straight away, so you are not charged again.

After 30 days the account and its data are permanently deleted and we email you to confirm. Nothing further is needed from you. If you change your mind inside that window, sign in and choose Keep my account.

3. What gets deleted

Everything we hold that identifies you or describes your training, including:

• Your profile, sign-in and any connected sign-in provider
• Your training plans and plan history
• Workout logs, sets, weights and personal records
• Food logs, saved meals and nutrition targets
• Body measurements, weight history and body fat estimates
• App preferences, notification settings and push devices
• Support and bug reports you sent us

4. What we keep, and why

We keep a record of payments with your name and account removed from it. UK tax law requires companies to hold transaction records for six years, and UK GDPR allows this as a legal obligation that overrides the right to erasure. What remains is the amount, date, product and the payment provider's reference. It cannot be linked back to you.

Our payment provider keeps its own transaction records for the same reason. Your card details were never held by us.

5. App Store and Google Play subscriptions

If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, deleting your MacerFitness account does not cancel that subscription. Apple and Google control it, not us. Cancel it in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings, or you will keep being charged after your account is gone.

6. Download your data first

Deletion cannot be undone, so take a copy first if you want one. On the web, Settings has a Download my data button that gives you everything as a single JSON file. In the app, the same section emails the file to you.
